The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation announced that registration is complete for the 2018 Summer Fun Program.
Summer Fun is taking place at the following locations Monday through Friday until July 20.
Activities consist of a spectrum of arts and crafts projects, indoor/outdoor games, sports, music, dance, nature exploration, swimming, special events and excursions.
• 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Andrews Gym (100 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Honokaa Gym (60 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Kamehameha Park Complex (60 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Kawananakoa Gym (100 youth)
• 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Ka‘u District Gym (40 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Keaau Middle School (80 youth)
• 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Kekuaokalani Gym (80 youth)
• 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Mountain View Gym (40 youth)
• 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Naalehu Community Center (40 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Paaulio Gym (60 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., *Pahoa Elementary School site, relocated from Pahoa park (100 youth)
* Youth at the emergency evacuation shelters have been offered free summer fun enrollment at the Pahoa Elementary site.

• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Papaikou Gym (60 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Piihonua Gym (80 youth)
• 8 a.m.-4:30pm Waiakea Uka Gym (120 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Waikoloa Park (80 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Waimea District Park (80 youth)
• 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Wainaku Gym (60 youth)

In addition to the Summer Fun Program, the following summer programs also are being offered:
Tennis, Pickleball and Volleyball Camps
A combination of learning and fun in order to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
Programs are designed as an action-packed fitness program that will include speed and quickness circuits, plyometric intervals, strength and conditioning and more.
Focus will be on individual player development, leadership and teamwork skills.

2018 Teen Scene Program
A “life skills” program specially designed for teenagers. Activities include cooking, arts and crafts, leadership activities, career exploration, sports and excursions.
